Alan W. Solway, M.D.

Alan W. Solway, M.D.Dr. Solway has been a practicing ophthalmologist in Livonia since 1985. He is fellowship trained in retinal diseases which include diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration. Dr. Solway spent many years teaching microincision cataract surgery in national courses and at the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Over the years, he has performed over 10,000 cataract surgeries.

His accomplishments include a book chapter in a textbook on cataract surgical complications. Dr. Solway has been listed in Best Doctors of America, and Best Doctors Midwest Edition each year since 1996. In 2010, he was appointed Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor in the department of Ophthalmology at Stanford University School of Medicine.

Dr. Solway’s special interest is in the diagnosis and treatment of diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.
